News 17 (05 June 2009)

There are still eleven ships waiting in various ports out of the service presently. Having in mind come back part of Company fleet to operation, management has decided partly to increase salary rates for masters, chief officers and engineers in our Company. It does not concern those workers who started cooperation with us from February 2009. Information about changes will be sent by Crewing Agency ship by ship. Instead of some visible improving on the shipping market we can't confirm completion of the crisis situation. Incoming summertime still may give us necessity to put more ships out of the service. Therefore we still insist for careful decisions regarding spending funds at all management and working levels. All of us shall believe that coming back for all workers to revious salaries is possible in short period.

mv "EILSUM" come back to service at 09th of May, while mv "KOSSAU" revert to operation at 10th of May.

News 15 (07 May 2009)

The following letter was distributed into our ships:

On behalf of the Company management we would like to inform that the situation at shipping and in our company is not improving yet. Keeping the ships at parking position also costs some expenses and therefore the fact that ships come back to operation does not meet the completion of crisis. When we see any chance to put our ships in operation (even for one voyage) we will do it. Good news for this moment are facts that we try to avoid parking more ships. Unfortunately not all ships which are presently in operation transport any cargoes- some of them also have to wait for possible employment.

Therefore we still insist for all possible savings to be continued and absolutely restricted. Furthermore we confirm that when only the crisis situation will be finished we will revert to the previous employment conditions and will announce this fact officially.

News 14 (27 Apr 2009)

From the time of coming hot waether, there are also slowly good news knocking to our doors. There is a decision that we are not going to put out of operation more ships. Also today, mv "STEINAU" waiting in port of Svendbord has come back into operation. It is scheduled to take back into operation the next ship within next ten days. Please keep the fingers crossed together with us for such scenario.

We would lie to wish directly from the heart for all our workers and subcontractors the most beautiful and special Easter wishes beliving are possible to happen in reality.

In port of Wilhelmshaven the next ship was parking at waiting position - this time there is mv "RANTUM".

News 12 (03 Apr 2009)

We would like to inform that today we have take from operation another ship. It is mv "EILSUM" in German port in Wilhelmshaven. Unfortunately there are expected more ships to be put at the same place. It means that upto now there are no visible signals that tendency at shipping marker could be changed.

News 11(27 Mar 2009)

Polish Ministry has informed about next hijacked at Somalian coast. This time there is a Norwegian tanker mv "Bow Asir" with Bahama banner. There are twenty three crew members on board and between them five Polish seafarers. Pirates have not announced yet their expectations.

Our ship mv "CONWEST" was shifted to Gdynia for completion of dock repairs at Naval Yard. In the shipyard "Makrum" is Szczecin we have started repair of our new container ship mv "LANCER". The reapirs are scheduled to be completed within one month time.

News 10 (11 Mar 2009)

Polish zlotych was stabilized at level about 4,5 - 4,6 PLN for 1 EURO. It looks like that also the situation at shipping market is stablilized as well.We believe that we have reached this "bottom". After making the one voyage with cargo on board, our ship mv Provider comes back again for waiting position. At Szczecin's Yard "Makrum" (ex-Parnica and Pomerania) is performed presently repair of one of our container ship mv "CONWEST". It is expected to complete the repairs till end of March 2009.

At 09th of March took place monthly meeting of the Company management. Till end of March there are not expected any crucial decision inside our Company. The assessment of first quarter will be most important. Inspide of presently serious situation we are sure to survive also this hard time.

News 09 (23 Feb 2009)

We anxiously waiting for piece of good, sanguine news. Management of the company decided to put mv Provider back into temporary operation for one month. We expect upswing and resurgence of the rest of the vessels.

News 08 (20 Feb 2009)

Today, due to previous arrangements, 3 other vessels-mv Burgtor, mv Holstentor & mv Elbetor- were put alongside in port Szczecin. Taking advantage of present situation all required repairs concern electical equipment will be made.

News 07 (19 Feb 2009)

Erwin's Strahlmann statement regarding present, difficult situation was sent to all our vessels. As things are, the salary decrease is the only decision that company could make. Over 80% of our crew members understood the situation and accepted this kind of solution. They have confirmed further cooperation. The decrease affects is in force from 1 February 2009. The salary after deduction will not be lower than ITF rates for the respective standpoint. We hope, that this decision will help to keep in operation other vessels & other resolutions won't be necessary.

All crew members who disagree, will finish the contract accordingly to previously signed conditions.

The EURO rate reached the top-level yesterday - 4,8999 (NBP mid-rate)

News 06 (09 Feb 2009)

The company monthly meeting took place today. Mr Strahlmann has assessed present, serious situation and informed about consequences of further continuation the unfavourable tendency. The possibility of laying-up further ships was discussed. Such situation may concern the whole company fleet. Many of ships being in operation await at roads of various ports for any eventual potential employment.

The second discussed option is decreasing the salary for all workers. It will be made and sent to all ships information for acceptance of such solution. Company relises that it is not easy decision but shall allow to keep the rest of ships in operation and will give the chance to earn some money for seagoing personnel.

News 05 (04 Feb 2009)

Polish currency is losing the value to other currencies almost every day. Today, average exchange rate EURO / PLN is 4,67. This level of exchange rate we had more then two years ago. In spite of the fact that financial analitics confirm that devaluation of Polish zloty is made by financial speculants, it is said that exchange rate could be above 5 zlotych.

News 04 (22 Jan 2009)

Presently the situation has not been changed and unfortunately is worse in shipping than expected by specialists. Regarding this, management of the company has decided to lay-up next two ships: mv Pewsum and mv Stadum. This time, vessels were put out of operation in German port Lubmin. From the beginning of the year EURO / PLN exchage rate has increased more than 10% and reach the level above 4,3 (average by NBP).

News 03 (15 Jan 2009)

We would like to remind that the whole company and each ship has hugeinfluence in company spendings and level of expenses. Therefore all leaders and also all workers are requested for the relevant attitude for ordered and bought spares and goods. By the company decision all expenses must be limited to the absolute acceptable minimum allowing safe operation of our ships. Only such behaviour in present crisis time may allow for further functioning of our Company.

After the first week of New Year we were forced to start with putting ships out of operation. Presently we have ten ships in Punemunde (Germany) and two ships in port of Svendborg (Denmark). Presently we are requested to save absolutely each possible Euro.
